To spread the message of peace and non-violence amongst the youth, Gandhi Peace Exams are organized by Mumbai Sarvodaya Mandal. The Mandal provides the books in English, Hindi, Gujarati & Marathi and question paper having 80 objective questions. T R K Somaiya,The Bombay Sarvodaya Mandal Chief, told that increase in number of students participating in exams has grown to 5 times in last 5 years. In 2004, there were 12,000 students, from across Maharashtra, appeared for the exam. But in 2008, already 30,000 students have appeared for the exams and 30,000 more students have applied for the exam.
These exams are conducted during every months. And the successful students are given a certificate.
Tushar Gandhi, grandson of Mahatma Gandhi and founder of Gandhi Foundation, said that this social revolution is result of good film "Lage Raho Munnabhai".
Though Richard Attenborough's film on Gandhiji attracted enormous audiences around the world, didn't change lives of so many as Lage Raho..... did.
